Locally Roasted Coffee
We roast our coffee right here in Keene. Every sip will bring you back to the mountains.
The way we see it, life’s too short to spend eating something you don’t feel good about, or giving into a product that you don’t quite trust. And in our one hundred-some years of taste testing, wood smoking, oven roasting, handcrafting and re-handcrafting each and every product, we’ve made it our mission to serve up something better, healthier, and more wholesome. Because, we take business personally.
We believe that farms and the food they produce are vital to our communities, culture, and landscape. By using the freshest milk from our family farms, crafting our products with both tradition and innovation, and giving back 100% of profits to our members, our cooperative makes award-winning cheese and dairy products that are as good as good gets.

It began, like many microbreweries, with a homebrew kit and a love of beer. Not just a love of drinking beer but a real respect for the craft, the history, the art, and the industry, as well as a passion for the brewing process itself. Today, the Lake Placid Pub & Brewery has been brewing award-winning ales and lagers for more than 26 years and has expanded rapidly due to its popularity and quality, earning the respect of the brewing community and national media attention. In 2023 alone, we brewed over 100 different styles of beer and we brew almost 350,000 pints of beer annually, placing us in the top 7% of brewpubs nationwide. In the summer of 2020 we installed a new draft system allowing us to have 12 beers on tap at all times.
Big Slide Brewery & Public House opened in June of 2016. We installed a hybrid 3.5/5 barrel brew-house, right in the center of our space, which also features a concrete-topped bar, a comfortable dining room, a beautiful (dog-friendly) patio, and a semi-open kitchen. We offer 10 house beers on tap, with a wide variety of styles from Sours and Goldens to Pale Ales, IPAs, Porters, Stouts, and Belgian beers. There are always some new and exciting beers available like a Chili Pepper Pale Ale or a Brett Biere de Garde.
